💼 Payroll Specialist – UK Payroll

📍 Location: Remote in the UK or Poland

🕒 Full-time | 3-6 month contract to start with

We’re currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's growing team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes for the UK region. This role is key in ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, maintaining statutory compliance, and supporting broader business initiatives alongside the Payroll Team Leader and Payroll Manager.

🔑 What You’ll Do:

• Manage the full-cycle UK payroll process in partnership with payroll providers.
• Collect, verify, and process payroll data in line with internal timetables and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all HMRC, employment tax, and government reporting obligations.
• Verify payroll output and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Payroll Team Leader or Manager.
• Ensure timely net salary payments and distribution of payslips.
• Reconcile payroll results and prepare journal entries for posting.
• Generate routine and ad hoc payroll reports and analytics.
• Maintain and document payroll processes and procedures.
• Prepare and submit year-end reporting (including P60s, P11Ds, etc.).
• Support pension contribution reporting and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with internal HR teams and external vendors on projects and payroll initiatives.

✅ What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required).
• 3+ years’ experience in a payroll environment, strong working knowledge of UK payroll ESSENTIAL
• Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience handling large data sets.
• Comfortable working across global teams and in a cross-functional setting.
