International Benefit Operations Specialist
- Location: Ireland – remote from Ireland only, not from abroad!
- Employment Type: 6-month fixed term contract
- Salary: €85-€94K per annum pro rata
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive International Benefits Operations Specialist to manage and optimize our client’s global benefits programs. You'll handle Tier 2 complex employee queries, work with the People Technology team to build and maintain benefits and absence plans, support payroll preparation, improve processes, and drive both operational excellence and strategic enablement across our benefits function. This role is perfect for someone with strong project management skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for Benefits & Technology.You are comfortable with working through ambiguity and can adapt easily to organizational changes.
What You’ll Do
- Multi-Country Support – Balance and manage varying benefits and absence needs across multiple countries, and relevant stakeholders, concurrently.
- Project Management – Lead benefits-related initiatives in partnership with the Benefits CoE
- Workday Benefits & Absence – Work with our People Technology team to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot absence plans and benefits programs.
- Payroll Preparation – Ensure accurate benefit deductions, reporting, and data flow to payroll.
- Employee Support – Handle Tier 2 benefits queries, resolving complex issues efficiently.
- Collaboration Across Teams - Partner closely with stakeholders in Payroll, Legal, and broader People teams to ensure accurate and efficient application of benefits and leave processes.
- Continuous Improvement & Automation – Partner with the People Tech team to identify opportunities for automation and system optimisation within Workday.
- Vendor & Financial Ops – Manage benefits procurement, POs, invoices,
- Compliance & Administration – Ensure global benefits align with local regulations and company policies.
What You Bring
- 5-7 years of experience in benefits operations, HRIS, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience managing POs, invoices, and vendor relationships.
- Ability to work independently and drive efficiency in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Comfortable influencing key stakeholders
- Can think critically on the downstream impacts of a benefits design and configuration decisions
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS expertise in benefits and absence plan management.
- Experience with international countries such as the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Canada, etc.
