2. About the Role
Wesley, LLC is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted, hands-on partner to the Vice President of Human Resources.
This role will lead key areas of employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, professional development, HR policy administration, employee handbook management, HR operations, and organizational culture.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive employee matters with discretion and empathy. Multi-state HR experience across Tennessee and Nevada is a plus.
3. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary resource for employee relations matters, employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and complaints.
Conduct and document workplace investigations fairly, consistently, and confidentially.
Advise and coach managers on performance issues, disciplinary actions, corrective action plans, and employee development.
Support performance management processes, including reviews, development discussions, and documentation.
Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and develop learning, training, stretch assignment, and advancement opportunities.
Assess training needs and coordinate onboarding, manager training, skills development, and leadership development programs.
Provide leadership for Wesley's Pillars Program and broader learning and development initiatives.
Maintain and regularly update the employee handbook across Wesley companies.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote compliance and consistency.
Monitor federal, state, and local employment law developments, including multi-state requirements.
Communicate HR policy updates and provide guidance and training to employees and managers.
Manage the shared HR inbox and develop communication templates to improve HR team efficiency.
Support employee engagement, recognition, company culture, and values-driven workplace initiatives.
Help coordinate company-wide events and employee engagement activities.
Provide backup support for benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams on additional HR projects and initiatives.
4. Required Qualifications
7+ years of progressive human resources experience, with demonstrated expertise in employee relations and professional development.
Strong knowledge of employee relations practices and workplace investigation techniques.
Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
Experience with HRIS data management.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an HR team.
5. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Current HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
Multi-state HR experience, particularly across Tennessee and Nevada.
Experience supporting professional development and leadership development programs.
Experience with employee engagement, organizational culture, and talent development initiatives.
Experience supporting benefits administration.
