About The Role

The Human Resources Analyst Intermediate position at the Arizona Lottery is a vital role that supports the organization’s HR functions by managing classification, compensation, recruitment, policy compliance, and operational enhancements. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this role involves conducting job audits, managing full-cycle talent acquisition processes, and leveraging AZ360 systems for data audits, HR metrics, and employee benefits administration. The incumbent serves as a functional resource across divisions, partnering with leadership to update standard operating procedures, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with state regulations. This position offers flexibility, including the potential for remote work within Arizona, contingent upon meeting performance expectations and business needs. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a closely related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Human Resources Analyst or equivalent
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules, and Arizona Lottery policies
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets
  • Experience with HR data analysis and reporting tools such as AZ360
  • Strong understanding of classification, compensation, and recruitment processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Pre-employment driver’s license if driving is required for the role
  • Successful completion of E-Verify for employment eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, analyze, and research job classification and compensation requests to ensure internal equity and appropriate pay alignment
  • Conduct job audits, allocate positions, and draft or update detailed position descriptions
  • Prepare analyses for base pay, performance pay, and pay equity inquiries and recommendations
  • Assist in communicating, implementing, and maintaining organizational HR policies and procedures
  • Collect, tabulate, and prepare HR surveys and reports for scorecards, dashboards, and key performance metrics
  • Utilize AZ360 and other reporting tools to analyze trends, perform quality control, and audit personnel actions for compliance
  • Support benefits administration during open enrollment and serve as a Benefits Liaison to provide updates and assistance
  • Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting background checks
  • Support onboarding and new employee orientation to ensure seamless integration into the organization
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to troubleshoot system issues and implement operational improvements
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for HR operations, ensuring compliance with evolving policies and regulations
  • Provide guidance to divisions on recruitment, classification, and HR best practices
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned
