2. About the Opportunity:
The Director of International HR Operations leads the global HR operations strategy across multiple international markets. This role is responsible for designing and improving compliant, scalable HR operational frameworks that support employees, customers, and business goals worldwide. The position plays a critical role in ensuring HR operations are both legally compliant and aligned with commercial objectives, while driving innovation through technology and cross-functional collaboration. This leadership role impacts the organization’s ability to maintain consistent, efficient, and effective HR practices on a global scale.
3. Responsibilities:
• Define and execute the global vision, strategy, and operating model for HR Operations across the employee and customer lifecycle
• Lead and develop a globally distributed team of regional HR Operations leaders and specialists
• Own global HR compliance, partnering with Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations
• Maintain a network of external advisors and in-country experts in legal, HR, payroll, and benefits
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Compliance to influence HR-related product strategy and operational readiness
• Work with Customer Success, Sales, Revenue Enablement, and Marketing to develop HR content, tools, and education
• Act as senior escalation point for complex employee relations, compliance, and customer issues
• Design and implement global policies, standards, and documentation balancing consistency with local flexibility
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data and feedback to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Drive adoption of new technologies, automation, and AI to improve global HR operations
• Perform other duties as needed based on organizational requirements
4. Requirements:
• At least 10 years of progressive HR experience with significant leadership responsibility in global or multi-regional HR operations
• Proven ability to design and lead HR operations at scale, including compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and lifecycle management
• Extensive experience managing complex, high-risk HR and legal situations
• Expertise in global employment compliance and employer-of-record models
• Strong strategic leadership, communication, and partnership skills
• Ability to manage complexity, assess risk, and implement scalable, sustainable solutions
• Proactive approach to continuous learning about global employment trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
