THIS IS A 1099 CONTRACT POSITION WHERE THE LENGTH COULD BE LONG-TERM Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation for the mission-critical industry, is searching for a Human Resources Contractor to join our team on a 1099/temporary basis. This is a fully remote position, and you would collaborate with senior leadership to continue to make Praetorian Power the employer of choice. In This Position, You WillTalent Acquisition, Onboarding & Off-boarding

  • Proof and send offer letters during hiring process
  • Confidentially maintain all applicable employee documents.
  • Coordinate technical certifications and background checks required for site access.
  • Design and lead an onboarding experience that integrates new hires into our safety-first culture and move them through the Paycom self-onboarding and training.
  • Manage the Verizon and T-Mobile business accounts by issuing new devices to new hires and assuring the return of the equipment during off-boarding.
  • Off-board termed employees and track the return of company property.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries regarding policy and personal concerns.
  • Act as a neutral advisor to management on performance coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain an "open door" environment to ensure high morale across both field and office teams.

  • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate semi-monthly payroll processing.
  • Manage leave of absence requests (FMLA, Disability) and workers' compensation claims.
  • Manage COBRA distribution.

Compliance & Safety Integration

  • Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist in the development and updating of the Employee Handbook and policy changes.

Performance & Culture

  • Facilitate the annual performance review process.
  • Organize company-wide events and initiatives to maintain a tight-knit culture as the company grows.
