Grapple is a start-up, funded by Monaco Solicitors, with both owned 100% by Alex Monaco, Chairman of Monaco Solicitors.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced internal Talent Acquisition & HR Lead to join our team and drive hiring strategy & processes and broader people initiatives across both Monaco Solicitors and Grapple.
This is a pivotal role focused on shaping and delivering a high-quality, end-to-end recruitment & HR strategy across both legal and non-legal functions.
You will be responsible for attracting top talent & scaling corporate and technical teams across both businesses, and overseeing the HR function to support the overall development of a positive company culture and employee engagement activities.
There is an HR Manager in the team who you will work closely with.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the end-to-end recruitment process across all departments, including legal, operations, business support, and technology.
- Partner with senior stakeholders (including the founder, CEO, and senior solicitors) to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment plans, acting as a trusted advisor on the hiring market, salary benchmarking & hiring best practices
- Create engaging job adverts & manage multiple vacancies simultaneously, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience, and continuously review, track & and improve recruitment processes & tools.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles, and implement innovative sourcing strategies, including direct sourcing and market mapping.
- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, providing practical support for managers and employees and support broader people initiatives
- Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, annual reviews, compensation & performance management.
- Maintain HR policies, documentation, and employee records in line with current legislation.
About You
- 5+ years in an internal recruitment/talent acquisition or HR role, ideally within legal, professional services, or a high-growth tech-driven business.
- Strong track record of hiring across a wide range of roles, including specialist and senior positions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and market trends.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices & comfortable managing this function independently
- Comfortable working in a scaling business environment with evolving needs.
- Tech-savvy – confident using HR systems and digital sourcing platforms.
