About The Role

The HR Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle for a distributed technology organization, partnering with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams across onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.

The role keeps people operations accurate and scalable by administering HRIS workflows, maintaining employee data, improving internal processes, and turning workforce information into clear reporting for managers and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and employee records in Workday, Rippling, or a comparable HRIS
  • Maintain accurate employee data and workflows across the HRIS, payroll, benefits, and access-management systems
  • Partner with managers on performance cycles, policy questions, employee relations, and consistent documentation
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, payroll audits, and vendor support while resolving employee issues promptly
  • Create and maintain people-process documentation, including onboarding guides, policies, and manager resources in Notion or Confluence
  • Build recurring reports and dashboards on headcount, turnover, hiring activity, and workforce trends using HRIS and spreadsheet data
  • Support compliance activities across federal, state, and local requirements, including employment records, audits, and required postings

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-6 years of experience in HR generalist, people operations, or HR operations roles, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment
  • Hands-on experience administering an HRIS such as Workday, Rippling, BambooHR, or UKG, with strong data-accuracy practices
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employment compliance
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-state employees and managing sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and basic workforce reporting
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support employees and advise managers across multiple functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; Bonus: SHRM-CP, PHR, experience with Greenhouse, Lattice, Deel, or similar people-tech platforms
