The Role
As part of our Professional Services Consulting team in the DACH region, we are seeking an experienced Senior SAP HCM Consultant with Austrian payroll expertise.
In this role, you will work closely with Austrian clients and collaborate with our delivery center in Spain.
Cross-team collaboration in English is a key part of the role. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills into SuccessFactors Employee Central, Time Management, point-to-point integration, and other leading HR technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design workshops to capture payroll requirements.
- Analyze client requirements for the SAP Payroll (PY) module.
- Create functional documentation and workbooks.
- Configure and implement Austrian SAP payroll solutions.
- Collaborate with technical consulting teams for delivery.
- Support data migration, particularly for master and payroll data.
- Lead testing cycles (Unit, UAT, and Parallel Testing).
- Align with cross-work streams in hybrid SuccessFactors projects.
- Support pre-sales activities, including due diligence workshops.
Requirements
- Senior-level knowledge of Austrian payroll processes (experience as payroll manager a plus).
- Proven experience in SAP Payroll configuration.
- Strong client focus and the ability to understand customer needs.
- Positive, collaborative attitude across multinational teams.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Good knowledge of SAP reporting tools (e.g., ad-hoc query, wage type reporter).
- Understanding of payroll and post-payroll processes (e.g., B2A manager, posting file to finance).
- Familiarity with structured project environments and software development life-cycle.
- Experience with SAP Payroll maintenance and support.
- Multiple payroll project implementations.
- Experience working in a remote, multinational environment.
- Strong communication skills in business English.
- Basic ABAP knowledge (an advantage).
