In this role you will lead small to moderately complex projects from problem definition through solution design, implementation, and change management. Apply expertise in learning design, insurance, business processes, and learning theory to develop practical, measurable solutions.
Design and develop learning solutions across underwriting, sales, leadership, and professional development portfolios. Uses instructional design principles, adult-learning theory, AI-enabled learning design tools, and multiple learning modalities to address business needs and improve organizational performance. Learning modalities include elearning, virtual delivery, AI-enabled role plays, job aids, and instructor-led workshops.
Partners with business leaders, subject-matter experts, vendors, and colleagues to assess needs, define objectives, evaluate options, design, develop and test solutions, and support continuous improvement. Serves as a trusted advisor and liaison between the business and Underwriting University.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads projects of varying complexity from problem definition and business-case development through implementation and post-implementation review.
- Applies insurance and business-process expertise to recommend improvements across products, services, systems, and interdependent processes.
- Establishes project direction, outcomes, plans, success measures, governance, and documentation in accordance with Zurich standards.
- Leads project teams and partners with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress, manage escalations, remove barriers, and support change adoption.
- Defines learning objectives, target outcomes, instructional frameworks, and delivery methods for new and existing learning solutions.
- Designs and develops learning solutions using adult-learning principles, appropriate modalities, and tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Synthesia, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Establishes evaluation and maintenance strategies to measure effectiveness, improve solutions, and incorporate emerging learning practices.
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area AND
- Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems integration
- 5 or more years of experience designing learning solutions
- Experience using Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Synthesia, and Adobe Premier in a learning environment
- Project Management Professional Certification
- In-depth, strong problem solving analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Insurance Industry Experience
