Role: Workday Configuration Analyst – Advanced Compensation (SME / Architect Level)Location: Remotecandidate must bring deep configuration expertise and the ability to execute complex compensation cycles independently within Workday.Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly specialized Workday Analyst with deep expertise in Core and Advanced Compensation. This role is focused on hands-on configuration and execution, not leadership oversight. The ideal candidate will function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving end-to-end compensation processes within Workday, including complex global compensation cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end configuration and execution of Workday Advanced Compensation processes
  • Architect and manage global merit, bonus, and equity cycles within Workday
  • Configure compensation plans, eligibility rules, budgets, guidelines, and allocations
  • Design and implement complex compensation frameworks aligned with business needs
  • Perform hands-on system configuration, testing, and deployment (no functional-only oversight)
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate compensation delivery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during compensation cycles, ensuring data accuracy and system performance
  • Support compensation cycle planning, execution, and post-cycle analysis
  • Maintain and enhance Workday compensation configurations and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with global compensation policies and governance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Workday, with strong focus on Core & Advanced Compensation
  • Proven hands-on experience configuring and executing global compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity)
  • Deep expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation module (budgets, guidelines, plans, worksheets)
  • Experience operating at Principal / SME / Architect level in compensation delivery
  • Strong understanding of compensation frameworks, salary planning, and incentive structures
  • Ability to handle complex, global compensation environments
  • Experience in system testing, validation, and production support
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Advanced Compensation Certification
  • Experience with Workday integrations and reporting (compensation reports, dashboards)
  • Exposure to global HR systems and processes
  • Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments
