Trident Consulting is seeking a "Workday Time & Absence Analyst ” for one of our client in "Remote". A global leader in business and technology services.


Role: Workday Time & Absence Analyst

Location: Remote

Pay: $80/hr - $85/hr on W2 (Inclusive all)

Hours: 40 hours/week


Job Summary

We are seeking a Workday Time & Absence Analyst to support Workday Time Tracking and Absence configuration for M&A integration projects involving multiple international acquired populations.

The consultant will partner with HR, Payroll, and People Technology stakeholders to gather statutory and company-specific requirements and translate them into scalable Workday configurations. The role will own configuration activities from Sandbox build and unit testing through UAT, production migration, hypercare, reconciliation, and functional handoff.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Workday Absence and Time Tracking, global/multi-country implementations, complex accrual rules, and absence-to-payroll interactions. Experience supporting M&A or acquired populations and EMEA statutory leave requirements is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of new Workday Absence and Time Tracking plans for global projects.
  • Gather statutory, regulatory, and company-specific absence requirements from HR, Payroll, and local People teams.
  • Translate business requirements into Workday configuration and functional solutions.
  • Configure: Time Off Plans, Leave of Absence Types, Eligibility Rules, Accrual Methods, Balance Periods, Time Tracking Rules, Time Entry, Work Schedules and Calendars, Approvals and Exceptions.
  • Apply global naming, configuration, and security standards.
  • Perform Sandbox configuration, unit testing, and configuration validation.
  • Support UAT, troubleshoot defects, and implement configuration fixes.
  • Perform legacy balance load reconciliation and validate employee balances.
  • Support production migration sequencing and deployment activities.
  • Provide post-go-live hypercare and resolve Time & Absence configuration issues.
  • Support reporting, audits, and data validation related to Time & Absence.
  • Analyze and support absence-to-payroll interactions and integrations.
  • Provide guidance on Workday releases and adoption of relevant new features.
  • Prepare configuration documentation and provide knowledge transfer/handoff to the Workday Functional team.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, IT, and People Technology stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday Absence configuration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Time Tracking.
  • Experience designing and configuring: Absence/Time Off Plans, Leave Types, Eligibility Rules, Accrual Rules, Balance Periods, Time Tracking Rules, Work Schedules/Calendars
  • Strong understanding of global time tracking and leave/absence policies.
  • Experience with multi-country or international Workday implementations.
  • Working knowledge of absence-to-payroll interactions.
  • Experience with complex accrual rules and time tracking integrations.
  • Strong experience with testing, UAT, defect resolution, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification in Absence and/or Time Tracking.
  • Experience supporting M&A, acquisitions, or acquired employee populations.
  • Experience with EMEA statutory leave and absence requirements.
  • Experience with payroll and scheduling integrations.
  • Experience supporting global Workday tenants.
  • Experience with legacy balance conversion/load and reconciliation.
