Payroll Accountant | Manager (Remote after Training) | Hospitality Industry
We're partnering with a well-established luxury hospitality organization to identify a Payroll Accountant | Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for approximately 400 employees across multiple locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with hospitality, restaurant, union, employee payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while partnering closely with HR and Finance.
📍 Location: Initial onsite training in Santa Monica (flexible hybrid training available), then fully remote
💰 Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 base salary
What You'll Do
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 employees across multiple locations
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations including wages, overtime, tips, commissions, deductions, and garnishments
- Maintain employee payroll records and system data
- Manage payroll tax filings, quarterly reporting, W-2s, and year-end processing
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and employee status changes
- Generate labor cost, overtime, and payroll analytics reports for leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
What We're Looking For:
✅ Hospitality, restaurant, or hotel payroll experience
✅ Experience processing payroll for tipped and/or union employees
✅ UKG or ADP Workforce Now experience
✅ Strong communication skills and confident presence
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
✅ Payroll, accounting, or finance background preferred
