2. About the Opportunity:
The People Operations Generalist is responsible for managing and scaling core People Operations processes throughout the employee lifecycle. This role ensures efficient onboarding, maintains HR data integrity, and upholds compliance with relevant regulations. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency through process improvements and system optimizations.
3. Responsibilities:
• Manage and improve new hire onboarding and orientation programs, covering pre-boarding through ramp-up
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes including hiring, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and off-boarding
• Maintain consistency and compliance in onboarding across all departments and geographic locations
• Ensure accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
• Process benefits changes and manage personnel files in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation readiness and compliance
• Manage compliance processes such as I-9/E-Verify, ACA filings, COBRA, and payroll audits
• Serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries and collaborate with People Business Partners to resolve issues
• Develop and maintain documentation, FAQs, and resources for employee self-service
• Become a subject matter expert (SME) for UKG and UKG reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability, focusing on reducing manual tasks and enhancing HR system utilization including AI tools
• Generate ad hoc reports and support HR data requests
• Create, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and workflows
• Assist with the annual all-company meeting and provide backup support to People Operations Coordinator and Generalist
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a related field
• Significant experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG
• Proven experience managing onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
• Working knowledge of HR compliance, personnel records management, and audits
• Ability to travel up to 5%
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Base Salary: $55,000 to $75,000
• Salary range reflects various factors such as candidate location, skills, experience, and certifications
