1. About Our Client:

This organization is a boutique data and AI consultancy specializing in designing and building modern data platforms, analytics, and ML/AI Agent solutions. It serves mid-market and enterprise clients across industries such as Private Equity, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Retail. Utilizing technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, and the Microsoft ecosystem, the organization transforms complex, real-world data into reliable, actionable insights.

2. About the Opportunity:

The HR Generalist role is responsible for managing full-cycle human resources functions including recruiting, compliance, people operations, employee relations, and HR reporting. This position supports a multi-state, remote workforce and ensures smooth HR processes that contribute to organizational effectiveness and culture. The role is part-time and requires independent judgment to maintain HR standards and support leadership through metrics and employee engagement insights.

3. Responsibilities:

• Manage the applicant tracking system end-to-end including posting roles, coordinating interviews, and handling offer processes

• Collaborate with hiring managers to develop interview guides, scorecards, and evaluation rubrics

• Proactively source candidates for difficult-to-fill roles

• Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time to fill and offer acceptance rates

• Oversee job board and ATS vendor relationships

• Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws

• Maintain I-9 records and verify employment eligibility

• Manage worker classification in coordination with finance and legal counsel

• Update and maintain the employee handbook and policy library

• Handle Employer of Record vendor relationships for contractors and international hires

• Administer HRIS platform, including onboarding, offboarding, and data integrity

• Conduct new hire onboarding and offboarding processes

• Serve as first contact for employee inquiries on policies, benefits, and workplace issues

• Support managers with performance management and employee relations

• Design scalable feedback processes within a matrixed engineering environment

• Identify and report on retention risks and culture issues

• Produce monthly HR scorecards and analyze core HR metrics

4. Requirements:

• 3–5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or Coordinator with recruiting, compliance, and people operations

• Experience managing full-cycle recruiting independently

• Knowledge of employment law basics including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, I-9, and multi-state compliance

• Experience as a solo or near-solo HR practitioner in organizations of 20–150 employees

• Proficiency with ATS and HRIS platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• US-based and authorized to work without sponsorship

Preferred:

• Experience with TeamTailor ATS or HiBob HRIS

• Background in professional services, consulting, or technology environments

• HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP or working towards one

• Familiarity with Employer of Record arrangements and contractor classifications

• Experience supporting distributed, remote-first teams across multiple states

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Hourly rate of 25 to 35 USD
