About the Opportunity
The Employee Onboarding and Orientation Coordinator is a key administrative and cultural touchpoint responsible for welcoming new talent into the organization. From the moment a candidate accepts an offer, you will manage their transition into active, compliant, and integrated team members. This high-volume, highly structured role directly influences employee retention, team readiness, and the overall candidate experience by serving as a dedicated guide and collaborating closely with HR and department heads.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding Management: Initiate and manage end-to-end onboarding requests received from recruiters, including administrative paperwork, background checks, and drug screenings.
- Point of Contact: Act as the primary, supportive point of contact for all new hires, answering questions and guiding them through pre-employment steps.
- Data Administration: Ensure accurate new hire records by entering key personal and employment data into the HRIS system.
- New Hire Orientation: Coordinate and facilitate the virtual new hire orientation program (launch date TBD), welcoming both large groups and individuals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, hiring managers, and department heads to align start dates, equipment provisioning, and team-specific integrations.
- Record Integrity: Maintain highly organized, audit-ready onboarding records while treating sensitive personal information with strict confidentiality.
- Feedback & Optimization: Collect and analyze feedback from new hires to continuously improve the efficiency and warmth of the onboarding pipeline.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably within a human resources or talent acquisition department.
- High Volume: At least 1 year of experience managing onboarding in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
- Compliance Tools: Familiarity with onboarding technologies, specifically tools used for background checks and occupational health/drug screenings.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills, with the comfort to present to large virtual groups as well as coordinate one-on-one.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with modern HRIS or onboarding platforms.

- Hourly Rate: $19.20 – $28.85 USD per hour (for full-time team members).
