LuxNomads is a relocation company that helps American and Canadian professionals and families move to Europe. We handle everything from visa acquisition and tax planning to housing and full relocation logistics. To date we have helped 500+ people successfully relocate to Spain, Portugal, and beyond.
About the Role
One of the biggest blockers our clients face is getting employer approval to work remotely from abroad. They are motivated, funded, and ready to move. They just do not know how to navigate the internal HR conversation. We are building a program to solve that, and we need the right person to run it.
As our Global Mobility HR Partner, you will own our new Employer Approval Accelerator, a done‑with‑you program that helps North American employees secure permission to work from Europe from their current employers.
- Coach clients through the internal HR, Legal, and Payroll conversation, framing their ask as a business win rather than a compliance issue
- Build and continuously improve our playbook: email templates, internal proposals, FAQ docs, video trainings, and follow-up sequences
- Run 1:1 strategy calls, review communication drafts, and prep clients for manager and HR meetings
- Explore compliant alternatives such as contractor status or employer-of-record setups when W-2/T4 abroad is not an option
- Collaborate with our immigration and tax partners as needed. You own the HR strategy; they own legal advice and filings
This is not a legal or immigration advisory role. You are the global mobility strategist and coach, working alongside qualified legal and tax professionals.
Ideal Background
- 7+ years in HR as an HRBP, in Global Mobility, Total Rewards, or People Ops at a North American company
- Hands-on experience with cross-border remote work, international assignments, or employer-of-record setups
- Working knowledge of certificates of coverage and totalization agreements
- Comfortable coaching non-HR people on how to approach HR, Legal, and senior leadership
- Strong written communication. You enjoy refining emails and proposals until they land
- US or Canada based, excellent English, fully remote
Engagement and Compensation\
- Contract (1099), fully remote
- 10 to 20 hours per week to start, scalable as the program grows
- $75 to $175/hr commensurate with experience

- A clear, repeatable employer approval playbook in place
- 10 to 20 client cases supported with 70%+ reaching a clear employer decision
- Measurable increase in clients who move forward into full LuxNomads relocation services
