Quick Highlights – HR Generalist (Employee Relations)

- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

The ideal candidate will:
- Serve as a trusted HR partner with a strong focus on employee relations and compliance.
- Advise and coach managers through performance management, counseling, and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct and document employee relations investigations, ensuring consistent and fair outcomes.
- Support HR team in benefits administration, leave accommodations, and payroll coordination
- Support company-wide engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 5–7 years of hands-on HR experience. Ideal for someone who is confident navigating complex employee matters and employment law. HR certification a plus!

This role offers the opportunity to shape workplace culture, advise managers on complex employee relations matters, and strengthen engagement efforts within a growing, mission‑driven organization. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of broad HR experience, with a strong background in employee relations and benefits, and will partner closely with managers, teachers, and corporate staff across the organization. This person should be highly detail‑oriented, current on employment law, and committed to HR best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Advise managers and staff on employment law, company policies, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Draft and deliver counseling memos and documentation to ensure consistent, compliant corrective action practices.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective employee communication and performance management.
- Conduct employee surveys, analyze results, and recommend actionable improvements to leadership.
- Coordinate employee accommodation requests and leave of absence processes in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Support HR operations, including knowledge of benefits administration, payroll coordination, and open enrollment.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Assist in updating employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect current regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Stay informed on HR best practices, trends, and changes in federal and state employment laws.
Position Details:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- Fully Remote position with occasional travel to Plymouth, MA corporate office

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or related field required
- 5–7 years of HR experience, demonstrating strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits management, and payroll administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR compliance
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through; perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
- Ability to effectively manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment and produce accurate ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with diverse teams, including managers, educators, and corporate staff
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
**Candidates who fully meet the preferred criteria - such as advanced credentials, specialized experience, or demonstrated expertise - will be considered for compensation at the higher end of the established salary range.
