This role is ideal for technical HR professionals and systems administrators who want to design robust people infrastructure for multiple organizations on a part-time, project-based, or retainer basis.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Systems Management: Overseeing the architecture, migration, and daily administration of the core human resources information system.
- Lifecycle Logistics: Designing and automating the administrative workflows for onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding to ensure a seamless, error-free employee experience.
- Benefits Administration: Managing the operational backend of enrollment, deductions, and carrier feeds to ensure accurate coverage and billing for all staff.
- Process Optimization: Auditing existing administrative bottlenecks and implementing automation to eliminate manual data entry and reduce human error.
- Compliance Tracking: Building the mechanisms and alerts to track mandatory training, policy acknowledgments, and necessary regulatory documentation.
- Data & Reporting: Creating scalable reporting dashboards for headcount, retention, and other key people metrics to inform leadership decisions.
- Vendor Management: Evaluating, selecting, and managing the relationships with external benefits brokers and human capital technology providers.
- Policy Documentation: Structuring and maintaining the internal knowledge base so employees can easily find answers to operational questions.
Required qualities may include:
- Proven Experience: Background in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Systems Administration within scaling environments.
- Systems Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in configuring, integrating, and administering complex human capital management platforms.
- Analytical Mindset: The ability to audit large datasets for accuracy and translate raw employee data into actionable insights for the executive team.
- Process Design: A structural approach to mapping out complex workflows and identifying immediate areas for automation or improvement.
- Compliance Awareness: Strong foundational knowledge of labor regulations, data privacy laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Absolute precision when handling sensitive compensation, benefits, and personal employee information.
- Discretion: Unwavering commitment to confidentiality regarding all personnel data and organizational changes.
