This role The Partnerships Senior SDR is a critical role responsible for expanding our network of strategic partners and driving new business opportunities. This role acts as a standard of excellence, setting the pace for the team, and operating with the commercial maturity of an Account Executive. Reporting to the Manager of Channel Growth, you will not only execute core Partnerships SDR functions but also lead through behaviour, attitude, and results. Your key focus areas will be

  • Acquisition & Revenue
  • Outbound and self-source new referral partners
  • Enablement & Leadership
  • Assist Partner Account Executives in nurturing newly onboarded partners

This will include Acquisition & Revenue (Setting the Pace)

  • Outbound and self-source new referral partners (70%), Source strategic partners such as accounting firms, consultancies, industry associations, franchise groups or member body organisations.
  • Respond and qualify 'request to be a partner' web forms (30%), applying strong qualification skills.
  • Collaborate on special projects with Partner Account Executives, such as calling webinar or event attendees to drive new opportunities
  • Represent Employment Hero Partnerships at events to attract new partners and generate interest in our offerings.
  • Contribute to the full sales craft, not just booking meetings, with a strong focus on commercial thinking and understanding deal cycles.

Enablement & Leadership (The Standard of Excellence)

  • Mentorship: Actively mentor a developing SDR in your team through peer coaching and mindset example
  • Assist Partner Account Executives in nurturing newly onboarded partners.
  • Nurture new Partners until they are ready to submit their first lead.
  • Proactively reach out to partners who have been inactive for over 180 days to drive new referrals
  • Engage with team-wide partners to notify them of special offers, webinars, or upcoming events.
  • Contribute to the learning culture by sharing what works, testing new ideas, and driving adoption. This includes involvement in Call Coaching Sessions with new hires to model call quality and structure.
  • Proactively solve problems, flagging issues with solutions, not complaints. Demonstrate composure, optimism, and discipline through pressure.
