An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to join a fast-paced, international SaaS organisation on a short-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, hands-on payroll professional who thrives in a complex environment, enjoys problem-solving and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
Working within the People & Culture team and closely alongside Finance, you'll take ownership of payroll delivery across seven countries, ensuring accurate, timely processing while managing multiple international payroll providers.
The Opportunity
- Fully remote – Work from anywhere in Australia, with hardware provided.
- 1–2 month contract – Immediate start preferred.
- Flexible working arrangements – Ideally 38 hours per week, with four days considered.
- Global exposure – Approximately 350 employees across seven countries.
- Supportive environment – Work alongside a junior Payroll Officer, with established payroll procedures available.
Your Responsibilities
- Take ownership of payroll delivery across Australia, USA, UK, France, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
- Coordinate multiple international payroll providers, ensuring payroll deadlines are consistently met.
- Manage payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve exceptions.
- Oversee additional payroll runs, including commissions, terminations and adjustments.
- Work collaboratively with People & Culture and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to a junior Payroll Officer.
- Quickly familiarise yourself with existing payroll processes, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Balance competing priorities across different jurisdictions and payroll calendars.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and taking ownership from day one.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Proven hands-on global payroll experience across multiple countries.
- Demonstrated experience managing international payroll providers and outsourced payroll arrangements.
- Strong understanding of payroll reconciliations, compliance and payroll controls.
- Experience working across different payroll frequencies, jurisdictions and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and strong problem-solving abilities.
- The confidence to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
- The ability to learn unfamiliar payroll systems and processes quickly.
- Availability to commence at short notice and commit to the full assignment.
Systems experience
Exposure to Employment Hero, TriNet, Papaya or Paysoft would be highly regarded. However, experience across all platforms is not essential. Your ability to manage global payroll confidently and adapt quickly is far more important.
