About The Role
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department’s daily operations and strategic initiatives. This remote position is responsible for executing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits administration, and compliance reporting. The HR Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all staff members. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR team and report to the Human Resources Director, contributing to the organization’s commitment to a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business administration, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a human resources department.
- Proficiency in Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong emotional intelligence and confidentiality management skills.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and resolve HR-related issues independently.
- Experience with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, or related HR technology is preferred.
- Interest in process automation and workflow optimization within HR systems.
- Assist in maintaining and updating talent management resources such as role descriptions, interview guides, and automated email templates within HRIS platforms.
- Support recruitment efforts by preparing job descriptions, setting up requisitions, scheduling interviews, and conducting salary benchmarking.
- Manage employee records across various systems, including HRIS, training platforms, and timekeeping systems.
- Contribute to total rewards administration by auditing salaries, benefit deductions, and retirement contributions, and develop employee education initiatives on benefits offerings.
- Prepare reports related to benefits open enrollment, compensation plans, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as a payroll backup, assisting with payroll processing as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions, benefits overview, and timekeeping training.
- Maintain and update HR documentation, forms, and policies on SharePoint, ensuring proper permissions and accessibility.
- Support talent development activities, including performance reviews, professional development requests, and training setup.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, virtual events, and recognition programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries, support leave management, and assist with employee relations activities.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports (e.g., EEO-1, VETS 4212) and conduct research on state-specific employment law requirements.
- Maintain organizational charts, staff web pages, and internal communication channels to ensure current and accurate information.
- Manage HR email correspondence, ensuring timely and professional responses to all inquiries.
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $25.67 to $29.00, commensurate with experience and location.
