Role Summary:

We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our lean People team. You’ll be pivotal in driving and supporting core HR processes, from onboarding and employee engagement to compliance and culture-building initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited about shaping the employee experience and supporting teams as we scale.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth startup on a 100% equity-based compensation model, aligning your success directly with the company’s. You’ll help build our core product, establish frontend best practices, and directly participate in long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and performance review processes.
  • Partner with leadership to design and deliver employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining accurate employee records and compliance documentation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions and provide timely support.
  • Coordinate payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Assist in developing and rolling out HR policies and procedures to support growth and scalability.
  • Track, analyze, and report on people metrics (turnover, engagement, headcount, etc.) to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in ad-hoc people projects aimed at improving tools, processes, and the overall employee experience.

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in people operations, HR, or a similar role, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfort working independently and managing time effectively in a part-time capacity.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms and familiarity with remote-first team dynamics.
  • Prior experience with equity-based compensation models is a plus.
