Interim Senior Manager of Global Payroll Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Manager of Global Payroll to provide leadership and stability during a payroll leadership transition. This position is fully remote within the U.S., with working hours aligned primarily to PST. This engagement is expected to last 3-4 months. Responsibilities:

  • Provide interim leadership and oversight for global payroll operations during a transition period
  • Review and approve payroll cycles across U.S. and international jurisdictions
  • Serve as the escalation point for payroll discrepancies, exceptions, and complex employee issues
  • Lead and support an experienced payroll team, maintaining continuity and effectiveness
  • Coordinate with third-party payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution
  • Oversee payroll activities related to equity events, benefits funding, and reconciliations
  • Partner closely with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll inputs and data handoffs
  • Maintain payroll controls, compliance, and documentation across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including senior-level leadership
  • Strong experience overseeing global payroll operations through third-party providers
  • Proven people leadership skills with experience guiding seasoned payroll professionals
  • Deep knowledge of payroll compliance, controls, and review processes
  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively in fast-paced, change-driven environments
