EMEA Senior Payroll Specialist Global SaaS Remote - 6 month contract

A fast-growing global SaaS company is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join its international Accounting team for a period of 6 months, covering a secondment within the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working across borders, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting a truly global workforce. You’ll own multi-country payroll operations, partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams, and play a key role in improving processes.

Candidates must be immediately available to start and able to work on a contract basis

📍 Location: Remote (Ireland)

👥 Reports to: Senior International Payroll Manager

What You’ll Do

• Manage end-to-end payroll across multiple EMEA entities
• Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare payroll journal entries and support financial reconciliations
• Assist with statutory and internal audits (tax, pension, and social security)
• Deliver payroll reports and insights to Finance, Accounting, and People teams
• Document and enhance payroll processes for efficiency and control

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in full-cycle, multi-country payroll
• Strong understanding of international payroll compliance and tax legislation
• Hands-on experience with tools like Workday, ActivPayroll, BDO, or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
• Understanding of SOX compliance or equity compensation (RSUs, ESPPs)
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment
• Additional EMEA languages
