Unique Opportunity: This role is eligible for full time remote work or will be located within commute distance to the Polson, MT Corporate Office. With the right set of skills, you will be responsible to manage all activities related to the company job description library and also administer leaves of absence, ADA requests, and facilitate the Workers' Compensation injury tracking and reporting. This role requires demonstrated expertise in drafting, editing, and managing all job descriptions and related activities. This includes supporting managers who need new or edited versions of a position description, updating or correcting the job description library, converting positions to the correct job template, and ensuring compliance and regulatory information is accurate. This work is connected to the administration and coordination of all employee leaves of absence, including medical, military, ADA, and Workers' Compensation, in alignment with company policy and applicable federal and state laws. This role serves as a key liaison between corporate support and the individual companies and their employees to ensure a compliant, consistent, and supportive leave experience. This role will support compliance reporting, monthly metric reporting, and will work to ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and maintained in a manner that reflects the organization's commitment to compliance, accountability, and employee care. This role works closely with managers, employees, support teams, and third party administrators (TPA) in a continuously positive and encouraging manner. Education
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field. Will consider direct experience in exchange for degree (1 year of education = 2 years of direct experience. If exchanging a degree for direct experience, this will be additional experience beyond the years required for the position).
Experience
- Three (3) years of directly managing medical leave claims is required
- One (1) year of direct experience administering the ADA claims process is required
- Demonstrated experience with Workers' Compensation claims is strongly preferred
- ADP WFN experience strongly preferred (ADP Total Absence Management module is strongly preferred)
License, Cert or Registration
- Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) required or ability to achieve within the first year of employment.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstratable ability to understand the nuances and connecting points that run between medical, ADA, and Workers' Compensation leaves.
- High emotional intelligence to guide employees and managers through stressful leave events.
- Ability to explain complex leave policies clearly and compassionately.
- Ability to maintain sensitive medical information with strict confidentiality.
- Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to track intermittent leave, manage strict legal deadlines, and handle overlapping timelines.
- Experience using HRIS platforms (prefer ADP WFN).
- Capability to navigate difficult conversations.
- Ability to handle potential FMLA abuse.
- Ability to facilitate smooth return-to-work or reasonable accommodation processes.
