About the Opportunity
The Payroll File Integration Implementation Analyst manages the end-to-end delivery of payroll data integrations during client onboarding. This role serves as a primary liaison among clients, payroll vendors, and internal teams, translating business and technical requirements into accurate payroll file configurations. The position ensures successful integration, testing, and implementation while supporting a smooth transition from onboarding to ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
• Lead all phases of payroll implementation, including requirements gathering, configuration, and testing of inbound and outbound payroll files.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications, including file layouts and deduction mappings.
• Utilize industry-standard payroll file formats and secure file transfer protocols.
• Use tools such as XML/XSL, Excel, VBS, and FileZilla to support payroll integrations.
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance integration quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with clients and payroll vendors.
• Translate business and payroll requirements into clear technical documentation.
• Maintain documentation that supports successful implementation and ongoing operations.
• Facilitate meetings and document requirements, decisions, risks, and action items.
• Serve as the primary implementation contact for internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor implementation progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Provide clear and timely status updates throughout the implementation process.
• Support peer reviews, quality assurance, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
• Manage the transition from client onboarding to ongoing operations.
• Deliver responsive and professional customer service to clients and implementation partners.
Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll integrations, administrative outsourcing, data integration, or a related analyst role.
• Experience working with multiple payroll platforms.
• Strong understanding of payroll file formats, data structures, and integration requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data validation.
• Experience auditing large datasets and identifying patterns, discrepancies, and data-quality issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex technical and business requirements.
• Effective facilitation skills for client and vendor meetings.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable participating in video meetings and remote collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing productivity tools using XML/XSL, VBS, JavaScript, SQL, Access, or similar technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
• Annual salary range of $45,000–$81,000, depending on education, experience, skills, abilities, and applicable market factors.
• Eligible to participate in the company’s bonus incentive plan.
