2. About the Opportunity: The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in supporting assigned client groups by providing expert HR guidance across multiple functional areas. This position impacts organizational effectiveness by partnering with managers and employees to address employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The role contributes to enhancing employee engagement and supports continuous improvement within human resources practices.



3. Responsibilities:



  • Provide HR coaching and solutions to support employee engagement and performance
  • Address employee and manager inquiries and conduct investigations when needed
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, conflict resolution, and offboarding
  • Manage HR processes including documentation, unemployment claims, exit interviews, and workers compensation
  • Assist with benefits administration and talent management alignment
  • Facilitate onboarding, training, and development initiatives
  • Maintain confidential employee records accurately
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices
  • Lead or participate in HR projects, process improvements, and analytics



4. Requirements:



  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related field AND two years of HR generalist experience, or equivalent combination
  • Flexible leadership and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in coaching, performance evaluation, and communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and influence outcomes
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Ohio up to 15% of the time
  • Residency in Ohio with preference for proximity to Northwest Ohio region



5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:



  • The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
