2. About the Opportunity:
The HR Business Partner - Director will serve as a strategic advisor to the President of the automotive division and senior leadership, aligning people strategies with business growth objectives. This role is key to guiding scalable talent management, performance, culture, and organizational development for a high-growth business unit with over 350 employees. The position collaborates closely with leadership to develop leaders, optimize organizational design, and foster an inclusive culture that supports sustainable growth. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of HR, this role partners with regional and global HR functions to deliver the people strategy in North America.
3. Responsibilities:
• Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategy with business goals and growth plans
• Translate business strategy into people initiatives covering talent, structure, leadership, and culture
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
• Guide organizational change related to growth, restructuring, or new business models
• Support culture-building programs that reinforce company values
• Embed scalable people processes in a growing organization
• Lead workforce planning to meet skill, capacity, and structural needs
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring forecasts and scaling efforts
• Facilitate succession planning and leadership pipeline development
• Design and implement performance management frameworks
• Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and development
• Partner with Talent Management on leadership and capability-building programs
• Ensure fair employee management in compliance with laws and policies
• Provide coaching on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and documentation
• Partner with Employee Relations on compliant handling of issues and investigations
• Train managers to handle employee management effectively
• Monitor employee relations trends, recommend policy improvements, and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with Legal and People Operations on policy and regulatory compliance
• Analyze HR metrics including turnover, engagement, performance, hiring effectiveness, and diversity
• Provide leadership insights through people analytics and develop executive dashboards
• Use data to measure HR program effectiveness and inform decisions
4. Requirements:
• Expertise in organizational development, including process re-engineering and change management
• Experience influencing senior leaders and managing complex organizational change
• Background in data-driven HR and people analytics with measurable results
• Ability to link people initiatives to revenue and operational efficiency
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field; Master's preferred
• 7 to 12+ years of progressive HR experience in business partnering or strategic HR leadership
• Experience supporting fast-growing organizations
• Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development
• Strong coaching and management skills
