The company focuses on delivering seamless benefits administration and regulatory oversight, ensuring accurate and responsive support to employees and managers.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in administering benefits programs and the 401(k) plan while supporting leave of absence administration and ADA accommodation requests. This position ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provides clear guidance and education to employees and managers. The role contributes to the organization by maintaining accurate benefits data, supporting open enrollment, and facilitating smooth leave processes, helping to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.

3. Responsibilities:

• Support administration of all benefits programs with external vendors as needed

• Manage benefits onboarding and offboarding, including COBRA compliance

• Process employee status changes and update benefits accordingly

• Provide benefits guidance and resolve issues for employees and managers, including live presentations

• Partner with ACA vendors to ensure compliance and manage reporting requirements

• Distribute required annual compliance communications on time

• Conduct audits of benefits records and reconcile monthly enrollment and billing

• Assist with open enrollment communication, system updates, and employee education

• Develop and deliver benefits education materials

• Liaise between employees, managers, HR, and third-party leave administrators throughout leave lifecycle

• Facilitate ADA interactive process and consult on accommodation determinations

• Advise on federal, state, and local leave laws and their interaction with company policies

• Monitor leave activity for accuracy and compliance, maintaining confidential records

• Respond to leave and disability inquiries and ensure timely pay and benefits adjustments

• Support company time-off program administration and recommend policy updates

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 2 years of benefits administration experience

• Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefits laws including COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA

• Experience with third-party administrators, benefits vendors, and HRIS systems

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills in a service-oriented environment

• Must pass required background checks

• Must comply with legal and company regulations applicable to the industry

• Minimum age of 21 years

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range is $70,000 to $85,000 USD, competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location

• Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program based on organizational and individual performance
