Job Title: Senior HCM Consultant – M&A Integration/Transition Experience
Location: Anywhere in Australia (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne)
Role: Contract
Contract Duration: 6-months, extendable
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced HCM Consultant with a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). This role focuses on supporting the integration and transformation of human capital strategies during M&A transitions, including workforce analysis, policy alignment, and HCM system optimization.
Key Responsibilities:M&A Due Diligence:
- Conduct HR due diligence (workforce, compensation, benefits, compliance).
- Identify potential HR-related risks and liabilities.
Integration Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement HCM integration strategies.
- Align HR policies, procedures, and contracts across merging entities.
- Support workforce planning and restructuring.
Change Management & Communication:
- Design and implement change management strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership for transparent communication and employee engagement.
- Facilitate cultural integration.
HCM Systems & Technology:
- Assess current HRIS/HCM platforms and recommend integration or migration solutions.
- Oversee data migration, system configuration, and process standardization.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and labour laws.
Talent & Workforce Strategy:
- Advise on retention strategies for key talent.
- Assist in leadership assessment, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
- Support compensation harmonization and benefits alignment.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in HR consulting, HCM systems, or M&A advisory.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with HCM platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications such as SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or SAP/Oracle HCM are a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
