Senior Remuneration Analyst

Shift Schedule: (Mon-Fri) - (8:30am-4:30pm) (AEST)

Summary of Position

The Senior Remuneration Analyst is responsible for supporting and executing executive remuneration projects, with a strong focus on benchmarking, peer group analysis, and compensation design aligned with Australian market standards. This role plays a critical part in providing accurate and data-driven insights that inform remuneration strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory and market expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and advanced Excel skills, coupled with deep familiarity with the Australian executive remuneration landscape. Strong verbal and written English skills are essential, as this role involves interpreting complex information and preparing high-level reports and recommendations.

Primary Tasks

  • Conduct executive remuneration benchmarking and market analysis
  • Develop and maintain compensation and peer group datasets
  • Assist in the design and modelling of remuneration structures
  • Support in the preparation of reports and insights for board-level or client presentations
  • Analyze and interpret market trends, pay data, and governance requirements
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders or clients to clarify compensation data and recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality at all times

Potential Additional Tasks (If any)

  • Participate in the review and development of remuneration frameworks or policy documents
  • Assist in internal process improvements related to data tracking and remuneration modeling
  • Support ad hoc executive pay analysis and scenario planning
  • Collaborate with legal or compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Some data entry and checking of executive remuneration for analysis purposes

Work Experience Required

  • Proven experience in remuneration analysis, compensation consulting, or HR analytics
  • Experience working with Australian executive pay structures, market benchmarks, and
  • terminology
  • Previous involvement in comp group/peer group design and analysis
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and present clear, concise findings

Technology/Systems Experience Required

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, charts)
  • Experience working with remuneration data platforms or internal HR systems
  • Strong skills in preparing professional reports, charts, and presentations (PowerPoint,
  • Word)
  • Solid understanding of data accuracy and quality control in financial/HR analysis

Qualifications Required

  • Strong English comprehension and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of executive pay regulations and practices in the Australian market
  • May have worked at another Executive Remuneration organization or for one of Australia’s major accounting firms in a similar role
  • Worked with WTW/AON/Mercer

Job Type: Full-time

Rate: Open budget, depending on experience (non-taxable)
