We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our growing Merchant Guild organization. The ideal candidate is naturally organized, analytical, and process-minded, with a talent for bringing clarity and structure to fast-moving environments. In this role, you’ll provide full-spectrum HR support — from employee relations and compliance to contractor management and system administration — while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and follow-through in everything you do. You’ll also have the opportunity to build scalable processes, strengthen systems, and directly shape how HR supports a high-energy, customer-focused team.

ResponsibilitiesHR Support
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the Merchant Guild team, providing day-to-day support across employee relations, onboarding, performance, engagement, leave administration, and other core HR functions.
- Be the reliability anchor on the team — ensuring HR systems, records, and reporting are meticulously managed.
- Manage Merchant Guild-specific tasks within HR platforms (e.g., UKG, Deel).
- Advise leaders on people-related decisions aligned with business priorities.
- Support recruitment logistics and onboarding preparation for contractors participating in trade shows and events.
- Develop and implement consistent policies and procedures that balance compliance with business needs.
Contractor Management & Administration
- Own the administrative side of contractor management — including onboarding, classification, system entry, documentation, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and current records for all contractor agreements, assignments, and policies.
- Act as the point of contact for contractor compliance questions and ensure alignment with legal and company standards.
Trade Show & Event Support
- Play a hands-on role at industry events as the on-site HR representative.
- Coordinate staffing logistics, event preparation, and contractor/employee engagement.
- Conduct post-event debriefs to identify improvements and prepare for future events.
Process Development & Document Creation
- Build and refine scalable HR processes and policies that support growth while reducing complexity.
- Create and maintain documentation, templates, and tools that drive consistency across Merchant Guild operations.
- Identify workflow gaps and recommend HR solutions tailored to Merchant Guild’s unique needs.
- Champion process efficiency while ensuring alignment with company-wide standards and compliance.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of HR generalist or business partner experience, ideally in a fast-paced, field-based, or event-driven environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of compliance, contractor management, and HR systems (e.g., UKG, Deel); proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
- Strengths: Naturally organized, detail-driven, and analytical, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and traveling to key industry events as needed.
- Bonus: A passion for trading card games (TCG) or tabletop gaming.
