Interim Payroll Consultant

LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently supporting a global organisation with the hire of a Payroll Consultant on an interim basis. This fast-paced organisation is currently going through a payroll transformation process and are seeking an experienced, hands-on Payroll Consultant to join them until the end of 2025 initially.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and can roll up their sleeves to support day-to-day payroll processing while also contributing to the implementation of a new payroll platform across the UK and EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for UK and selected EMEA countries
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll in line with local regulations and company deadlines
• Liaise with external payroll vendors, HR, and Finance to resolve queries and discrepancies
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Play a key role in the implementation of a new payroll platform, including:
• Assisting with parallel runs and testing
• Ensuring smooth data migration and integration
• Identifying process improvements and supporting go-live activity
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local payroll legislation and statutory requirements

Skills / experience required:

• Strong, hands-on experience in UK payroll processing, with additional exposure to EMEA payrolls (essential)
• Experience working with third-party payroll providers
• Involvement in at least one payroll system implementation or upgrade (essential)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple country payrolls
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global organisation

This interim role is being recruited on a day rate basis (Inside IR35) with the day rate flexible depending on experience.
