Job Description

Posted on: September 9, 2026

Lead Advisor is a wealth management consulting and talent firm. This role is for a client of ours, a wealth management practice operating remotely.

Position Overview

The Manager of Advisor Training & Sales Enablement supports the Director of Sales in building and sustaining a high-performance advisory team.

Where the Director of Sales sets sales strategy and owns the team’s production results, the Manager ensures every advisor walks onto the field prepared and equipped. This role is responsible for building the training curriculum, maintaining the firm’s sales-enablement asset library, supporting lead-generation and pipeline initiatives, analyzing performance data, and maintaining a consistent advisor development rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Training & Skill Development

  • Create, develop, and facilitate the weekly internal sales training series, tied to live pipeline activity rather than theory.
  • Co-diagnose advisor skill gaps using pipeline observation and production data, then bring recommended training solutions to the Director of Sales.
  • Source and vet outside training resources to address gaps that cannot be closed internally.
  • Coordinate joint work with outside advisors and subject-matter experts as part of a structured development program.

Sales Enablement & Asset Library

  • Own and maintain the firm’s sales-asset library, including referral language, objection-handling frameworks, prospecting cadences, scripts, and client-ready case studies.
  • Translate the Director of Sales’ and top advisors’ best practices into reusable, repeatable tools the entire advisory team can apply.
  • Facilitate and maintain planning-tool enablement, including the Sophisticated Planning Services relationship and other planning software applications, so advisors can use these resources confidently and effectively.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Support

  • Run the lead-generation engine, including prospect lists, referral-activity tracking, and reporting, in support of the strategy established by the Director of Sales.
  • Participate in the weekly Client Builder sales pipeline meeting to ensure training and enablement remain connected to active opportunities.
  • Work with the Director of Sales and Growth team to create opportunities through repeatable systems and processes.

Performance Tracking & Data

  • Track professional development and credentials across the advisory team.
  • Use advisor activity, pipeline, and production data to identify development opportunities and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Monitor adoption of training programs and sales-enablement resources.

Measures of Success

Success in this role is measured by advisor improvement and adoption, not activity volume alone. Key indicators include:

  • Training adoption and completion rates across the team.
  • Demonstrable advisor behavior change following training.
  • Reduced ramp time for newer advisors.
  • Measurable increases in referral activity.
  • Improved pipeline velocity and conversion.

Role Boundaries

To preserve a single sales voice and keep this position focused on enablement:

  • No direct recruiting responsibilities, although the role may support advisor recruiting initiatives.
  • No product recommendations or attendance at client meetings.
  • This role does not direct or coach advisors in place of the Director of Sales.
  • The Director of Sales owns individual advisor coaching and accountability; this role owns curriculum, tools, training resources, and group skill-building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Prior financial sales experience strongly preferred; advisors respond best to enablement informed by real-world selling experience.
  • Experience in training, learning and development, sales enablement, or advisor development.
  • Demonstrated experience developing training curriculum and sales-enablement assets.
  • Training, coaching, or leadership program certifications are beneficial.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate sales data and observations into actionable training initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Series 7 preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for a financial services professional who understands the advisor sales process and enjoys helping advisors sharpen their skills, adopt best practices, and ultimately become more effective at growing their businesses.
