Job Description

Posted on: April 13, 2026

HR Consultant | £34,500 - £41,400 We're working with a market-leading professional services consultancy that supports over 100,000 businesses across the UK on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a high-energy Employment Law Expert to lead critical HR meetings virtually via Microsoft Teams, acting as a trusted decision-maker for complex workplace scenarios. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you will navigate the nuances of employment law to deliver fair outcomes in disciplinaries, grievances, and settlement negotiations. If you thrive on variety and have the technical HR expertise to manage challenging people-management issues across every industry imaginable, this is your next big career move. The Role

  • Lead and chair formal HR meetings including disciplinaries, appeals, and complex grievance hearings via Microsoft Teams.
  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations, interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence to ensure legal compliance and fair outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice to business owners on their legal position, risk mitigation, and the practical application of Employment Law.
  • Manage a high-volume diary of 'Face2Face' virtual assignments, producing legally compliant outcome reports and settlement documentation within tight deadlines.
  • Facilitate mediation and conciliation services to resolve internal workplace disputes and maintain healthy employment relations.

What You'll Need

  • Substantial experience in HR management, HR consultancy, or as an Employment Lawyer with a focus on employee relations.
  • Proven track record of chairing formal meetings and making high-stakes decisions on warnings, dismissals, and redundancy issues.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or 7) or a Degree in Law, HR, or a related business discipline.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage 'difficult conversations' and interact with stressed or upset stakeholders professionally.
  • High technical proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and case management software.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £41,400 plus a lucrative Profit Share Scheme and season ticket loans.
  • Comprehensive wellness package including private medical insurance, a cash plan, and access to an on-site gym.
  • Excellent work-life balance with 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), your birthday off, and the flexibility of fully remote working.
  • Long-term security with a generous pension plan, life insurance, and contractual sick pay.
