About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Swedish Payroll Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis, with the strong potential for a permanent position. This role offers the flexibility of remote working, with occasional travel to Darlington and Germany, to support our operations across Europe and the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes for multiple Swedish sites, ensuring compliance with local legislation and internal controls. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to work in an international environment, leveraging their expertise in payroll management and Swedish employment laws. The role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex payroll queries efficiently. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Fluent proficiency in Swedish, both written and spoken, at a professional level
- Extensive knowledge of Swedish payroll legislation and employment laws
- Experience using SAP for payroll processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Darlington and Germany
Responsibilities The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Processing payroll for multiple Swedish sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and internal controls
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, addressing queries related to tax, social security, insurance, illness, and audits
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize payroll processes and workflows
- Keeping payroll documentation and workflow manuals up to date and accurate
- Attending virtual and in-person meetings in Sweden, providing expertise on payroll-related matters
